Stuff happening in Furguson

This is just a post about my opinion about the way people are being treated in Furguson, The death of Micheal Brown and American Police in general.
((I live in Ireland so all i know is from what i have seen on the internet)).
If you are going to unfollow me because this post is not what i usually post i dont want you following me then so scroll on down if you dont wanna read.
                                   You have been warned.

Ok,since the disclaimer is over with lets continue. On Saturday the 9th, 18 year old Micheal Brown was shot by a police officer named Darren Wilson. He was unarmed and walking with his friend on the path. He had no weapons, criminal record and done nothing wrong. The Ferguson police pulled them over and according to police files “Told the 2 men to walk on the path”.
Heres the problem, according to Witness testimony’s they WERE on the path. There was no reason to shoot at the two men. But they did and in my opinion; Shooting an innocent black male for no reason IS a Hate Crime.

On Sunday the 10th, in a news conference St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar stated, “The genesis of this was a physical confrontation” during which Brown “physically assaulted the police officer.” According to Belmar, the officer attempted to exit his vehicle but was pushed back into the car by Brown, who then assaulted the officer inside the car. Brown then allegedly attempted to seize the officer’s gun, which was fired at least once during the struggle. Belmar acknowledged that “more than a couple” of shots were fired in the course of the encounter. And according to the police, they do NOT have dashboard camera’s in any police car.
I do not believe this bullshit, why would an innocent man attack the police for a simple accusation of walking on the path? We all now how far the police will go to cover up any incident’s like these and will resort to bribe and arrest of anyone that gets in the way. and the dashboard camera’s? WHY DONT YOU HAVE THEM!? It’s common sense to have them in a police car especially with the recent cases of cop brutality! I believe they do not want them because they dont wanna get caught on what they do or how the treat suspects.

Now to the Witness account’s:
Dorian Johnson’s account

According to Michael Brown’s friend, Dorian Johnson, who was walking with Brown at the time, the police officer pulled up beside them and said, “Get the fuck on the sidewalk.” Johnson said the young men replied that they were “not but a minute away from [their] destination, and [they] would shortly be out of the street.”

Without saying anything further, Johnson states that the officer drove forward, only to abruptly back up, positioning his vehicle crossways in their path, almost hitting the two men. Said Johnson, “We were so close, almost inches away, that when he tried to open his door aggressively, the door ricocheted both off me and Big Mike’s body and closed back on the officer.”
At that point, the officer, still in his car, grabbed Brown through the open window around the neck. Brown tried to pull away, but the officer continued to pull Brown toward him.
According to Johnson, Brown “did not reach for the officer’s weapon at all,” insisting that Brown was attempting to get free of the officer rather than attempting to attack him or take from him his weapon.
At that point, according to Johnson, the officer drew his weapon, and “he said, ‘I’ll shoot you’ or ‘I’m going to shoot,’” and almost instantaneously fired his weapon, hitting Brown.
Following the initial gunshot, Johnson said that Brown was able to free himself, at which point the two fled for their lives. The officer exited the vehicle, after which he fired a second shot, striking Brown in the back. At that point, according to Johnson, Brown turned around with his hands in the air and said, “I don’t have a gun. Stop shooting!” The officer then shot Brown several more times, killing him.
I believe this witness account because with all the info out about this case, this testimony seems accurate.

Piaget Crenshaw’s Account:

Another Witness,Piaget Crenshaw said that from her eye-point it appeared to look like Micheal Brown and the police officer were “arm wrestling” before the police officer shot from the vehicle at Micheal Brown. The officer then chased Brown down for about 20 feet before shooting again. Micheal Brown raised his arms but the police still shot him.
Why would you shoot him if he raised his arms? Reading all these witness accounts are making it seem more and more like the police officer wanted to shoot him just because he was black.

Tiffany Mitchell’s Account:
Witness Tiffany Mitchell, in an interview with St. Louis affiliate KMOV, said she arrived in the area near the beginning of the altercation. She stated that she was watching as the first gun shot was fired while the police officer, but not Brown, was still in the vehicle, at which point she retrieved her cell phone in order to film the unfolding event.
As Mitchell described events, “After the shot, the kid just breaks away. The cop follows him, kept shooting, the kid’s body jerked as if he was hit. After his body jerked he turns around, puts his hands up, and the cop continues to walk up on him and continues to shoot until he goes all the way down.”

All 3 accounts have a reoccuring theme: Micheal Brown RAISED HIS HANDS TO MAKE THEM STOP BUT THEY STILL KEPT SHOOTING.

The aftermath:
On August 10, a day of vigils began peacefully, but some crowd members started to behave in an unruly manner after the candlelight vigil. Local police stations assembled approximately 150 officers in riot gear. The crowd then began looting businesses, vandalizing vehicles and confronting police who sought to block off access to several areas of the city. At least 12 businesses were looted or vandalized, a gas station was set on fire, leading to over 30 arrests. Many windows were broken and several nearby businesses closed on Monday. The people arrested face charges of assault, burglary and theft. Police used a variety of equipment, including riot gear and helicopters, to disperse the crowd by 2 a.m Two police officers suffered minor injuries during the events.

On August 11, police fired tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse a crowd at the shell of the QuikTrip convenience store burnt out the night before. According to reports, gunshots were fired in Ferguson and five people were arrested. Some protesters allegedly threw rocks at police. The police responded by firing tear gas and bean bag rounds upon those protesting, including State Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal.

On August 12, several hundred protesters gathered in Clayton, the county seat, seeking criminal prosecution of the officer involved in the shooting. Protesters in Ferguson carried signs and many held their hands in the air while shouting “don’t shoot”. According to police, some protesters threw bottles at the officers, prompting the use of tear gas to disperse the crowd. The following day, a heavily-armed SWAT team of around 70 officers arrived at a protest demanding that protesters disperse. That night, police used smoke bombs, flash grenades, rubber bullets, and tear gas to disperse the crowd. Video footage of the events recorded by KARG Argus Radio shows Ferguson Police firing tear gas into a residential neighborhood and ordering the journalist to cease recording.

Between August 12 and 13, police officers fired tear gas and rubber bullets at lines of protesters and reporters. At least seven protesters were arrested on the evening of August 12 and 13, after police told protesters to “‘go home’ or face arrest.” CNN cameras filmed an officer addressing a group of protesters by saying “Bring it, you fucking animals, bring it.”

1. A vigil by Oxford dictionary is “A stationary, peaceful demonstration in support of a particular cause, typically without speeches”. The Vigil was in memory of Micheal Brown but certain people took it upon themselves to make the situation possibly worse. By causing the riots on what was supposed to be the mourning of someone is absurd and rude.
2. Rubber Bullets and tear gas? Really? This part is the police’s fault: They know how bad of damage rubber bullets can do and how badly tear gas can affect a person but they used it. They couldnt use a more peacful option? May i remind you, the police cause this situation by shooting Micheal Brown.
3. The officer who shot Micheal Brown SHOULD face punishment. He commited Murder. Why should he walk free? Because of a badge he walks free. The police do not want to protect people they want to hurt them and keep them quiet. And telling a journalist to stop recording? What gives them the right to tell someone who is DOING THEIR JOB to stop? THey are doing their job’s and the police cant.
4. This police officer shoul be reprimanded for what he said. “Serve and Protect” dosnt seem to mean anything to this sicko. This man is clearly a racist by calling the protester’s “animals’. Why is he on the force when he hates a certain race?

There is so much more but this is all i know from what i have read, seen and watched.
